History
History stimulates an interest in the past. It fires students’ curiosity and imagination, moving and inspiring them with the dilemmas, choices and beliefs of people in the past. History helps students to develop their own identity through an understanding of events at personal, local, national and international levels.
We use a wide variety of approaches, including debates, role play, presentations, displays, research projects, and film and archive material.
The skills developed in studying History all relate to the world of work, such as researching an issue, presenting your findings, being able to identify fact from opinion, looking at an issue from different points of view and developing your use of English to communicate with others.
