Music

Music is an important part of the curriculum at St John Fisher School, both due to its intrinsic qualities and for its benefits across the wider curriculum. The Music department not only aims to develop musical ability but also the confidence and self-esteem of the individual.

Two highly qualified Music Teachers support the department. Students in year 7 – 9 study one hour of Music per week, consisting of performance, composition and listening. Examination classes at GCSE study 5 hours every two weeks. The department provides extra curricular activities such as, choir, rock school, DJ and MC club. We provide private music lessons in guitar/bass, drums and woodwind.
